Ernie Harwell is the friendly Georgian who distributed Margaret Mitchell’s newspaper in 1930s and then distributed the play-by-play or over 8,500 major baseball league games for more than 55 years. He passed away in his home in Novi, Michigan on Tuesday. His age was 92.
